I have been overweight since I was 14 years old. Been on every diet program you could possibly name and Weight Watchers many many times. Have an older sister who had Gastric Bypass 5 years ago and lost over 150 pounds. I was very encouraged by her weight loss and the changes it made in her life, however was not willing to have surgery to the degree of that procedure. When I found out about Lap-Band I knew this was the procedure for me. Found the Obesity Help website and read so much positive outcomes decided to go to a seminar. My mind was made up after the surgery and started the 4 month process with Oregon Weight Loss to move forward. Chose my surgeon and was well on my way to what I hope to be a life changing choice.
Had Lap Band surgery at Good Samaritain Legacy hospital in Portland Oregon on October 18th, 2006.
My first follow-up appointment is Novermber 16th and hoping to get my first fill.
Down 19 pounds so far!
