Two years out, problems!

Sep 22, 2011

I had VSG 2 years ago in Mexico, did GREAT up until 4 months ago...at the time I was riding bikes 4-5 times a week, now I stay in bed almost all day.  I am weak, achy, foggy, blurred vision, low BP...89/44 or lower...have had blood work by my family doc, she says it looks pretty good and told me to drink Gatorade and V-8 juice.  Meanwhile, I am getting NO better...It is MUCH worse after a stressful day...I will be in bed for 2-3 days to re-coup...I am looking into adrenal fatigue and have asked my doc to refer me to another doctor, since I have been seeing her for 11 weeks now with NO improvment.
I would LOVE advice!  I am beginning to feel hopeless, I am only 41 years old, yet I feel like I am 141!  No one seems to understand...I don't even understand...HELP ME PLEASE,

6 months out

May 02, 2010

Well I am 6 months out, I had the sleeve in MX and did great!  I have lost 81 lbs.  My first goal was to lose 50 and my next was to get below 200.  I am still trying to get below 200, my weight loss has slowed WAY down...I started looking at how much I was snacking, which is somehthing I never use to do, but now I will sit at the computer and eat nuts for two hours,,,guess what?  Nuts have calories...so, I have started exercising at least 3 times a week and trying to be more aware of my snacking!
Please continue to pray for me as I continue to learn how to live a life worthy of my calling in Christ Jesus.
Remaining in Christ alone,

October 2009 Gastric Sleeve surgery

Nov 03, 2009

Well, I had my surgery on Oct. 22 by Dr. Rumbaut in Mexico.  Everything went great as far as my surgery goes.  I was in mild to moderate pain for the first couple of days.  I was impressed with the Dr. and his staff.   The San Jose hospital was clean and well equipped.  My over all experience was very positive, however, I wish I had learned to speak spanish before going to Mexico.  Dr. Rumbaut and his staff are fluent in english, HOWEVER, the nurses at the hospital were NOT.  They were smart, well trained, but often unable to help because they could not understand what I was saying, and I couldn't understand what they were asking.  It was extremely frustrating.  When your not feeling your best, you don't  want to have trouble communicating.

Best advice, Do your homework, learn to speak spanish, pray and trust God.
