"My first impression-I think he might be too young!!!!My impression changed over time as I did a lot of research prior to surgery and he was at the top of the list everywhere i researched. The staff was good once they understood I was a self-pay and was eager to get it done (I was rescheduled a few times, not my fault) I did notice that he was very friendly and salesman like prior to the surgery and after the surgery he turned into doctor mode. Aftercare info was okay, risks were addressed properly. I did have complications but Dr. McKinlay helped me through them the best he could. We didn't know what the problem really was but I was extremely bloated after surgery, couldn't breathe and ran a fever. Today, is 7 days post op and I am finally feeling more like my self. I do recommend Dr. McKinlay as he was very competent and helped me feel at ease. I especially like the staff at St. Marks Hospital, the nurses were especially attentive. I do recommend staying two nights. You just wont have the energy to take care of yourself when you get home"
