Brandi I too had been reviewing the stats. I have come to realize that this surgery really is no different than any other surgery that would take 2 hours, (like hysterectomy, gallbladder etc.) Also I was telling the nurse who ran my stress test about my fears regarding this surgery, she looked me in the face and said "If you had a lesion, cyst or other diseased tissue on your stomach or intestines would you have the surgeon remove it, or would you keep it there and hope it doesn't get any worse". Well needless to say those words really did put thing in prespective. Good luck on your choice. GOD BLESS.
