I'm a 47 year old over weight mother of 1. Married for 7 years. I have finally had it with this weight. I went to be the support person for my friend and decided to have the surgery myself. My BMI was 35.4, just barely over the limit. I had diabetes and was just diagnosed wth sleep apnea. I am tired, all of the time and my self confidence is 0. Others may think I am doing the wrong thing or taking the easy way out, but they are not me. I am doing this for me and me only. I may be wrong but if I am then I only have me to blame. My husband is being great about this but I am afraid he has a great many fears about what will happen. We'll see what the future holds. My surgery date is 5/18/07
