"Dr.'s Davis practice is absolutely dedicated to excellence in all fields of surgery that they practice and they have had a long standing reputation for providing the latest and the best surgical care to their patients. Not only do they have an extremely professional practice they take a very special interest in tackling the disease of obesity and in their patients. They have created a comprehensive weight loss center at The Methodist Hospital and have been doing gastric bypass and expanded to include, more recently, lap band. They have designed a comprehensive aftercare program so that their patients can learn how to use their \"tool\" more effectively. They provide compassionate care and are always available for their patients in times of need. My only negative deals with the response time for telephone calls during the approval process. Most answers took a minimum of two days to be received through office staff. rnrnI have felt that Dr. Davis shows his professionalism at all times but additionally is both compassionate and caring to all his patients. Dr. Garth Davis participates in the monthly support group meetings and is always available to answer questions that may come up as each patient goes through the learning curve of this new lifestyle. He was very thorough during the process leading to surgery in explaining the surgery, any complications that may arise and what to expect following surgery.rnrn"
