Walking
Aug 14, 2010
This morning when walking I decided to try to go a little further. My past walks lasted about 30 min each. Today, I walked for a whole hour! I surprised myself that I could do this. I did bring a bottle of water, that helped. Next time I will bring my IPOD, I did not think I was going to be gone this long! I set out for a few laps around the block, but neded up on the trail behind our house. WOW was it busy!
Well, I guess that is all for now.

Wow ... it did not know that I would be in so much pain. The pain is so bad that it is even difficult to move. I am eating and drinking well. Vitmains and Levenox ok. Pain, terrible. I spent an extra day in the hospital to help find a drug that worked besides morphine. I am taking it now, but it barely covers the pain. I hear and read about many who are up and walking without trouble, not me. I was able to walk some in the hospital. Getting up and down is somewhat easier today than yesterday. it aloso helps if I hold a blanket or pillow over my incisions. I Cannot sleep in my own bed, it is too high to comfortably get on and off. Last night it took 5-10 minutes to do each. Tonight it is the couch!
I will continue to post progress.
Thanks!

Hello everyone!
This is the fist time I have posted, posted on any site for that matter. I am scheduled for surgery RNY August 4th. My family and I are trying to squeeze a vacationin before this, as we won't have another chance until next summer. I am very excited about the changes that will be happening soon to me and the positive effect it will have on my self being!!!!
I am not sure what else to say.
Thanks~
