I am now 208......I have lost a total of 177 pounds now. I exercise 6 days a week. My cardio is very good and I can run 3 miles in under 30 minutes. I still scrutinize every thing I ingest and log my calories everyday. I am loving my new lifestyle and now that I exercise religiously, I have reintroduced some of the indulgences I've always enjoyed (like sweets and fried foods) because I know I am going to be active enough to keep that bad food from getting a chance to latch on to my gut.

All in all I feel amazing.

My Goal: Reached!

Hello all,
 Well I have not only reached my original goal weight of 240lbs, I have actually passed it and created a new personal goal; to reach a BMI of 29. I am currently 238lbs as of 2/17/10 after starting at 375lbs in 6/15/09. I want to get down to about 205-210lbs. I am having such an easy time at losing weight I thought, what the hell. I am also getting better at cooking nutritious meals at home. I love the way I am eating now, I feel absolutely outstanding and I even began to work out consistently.....I have to thank my wife for getting me on this life altering track.....luvya Amy!

Update 2/1/10

Well here we are already Feb 2010. I am still right on track with my weight loss. I am down nearly 140 pounds so far and still losing. I scrutinize every morsel of food before it passes my lips. My wife is doing good as well. She is down about 70....we are just a shopping fools now, gobbling up outfits instead of McDonalds.......I must say, without her by my side, I would have gave up my dieting a long time back.......I hope to soon hit the 150 mark in weight loss w/o surgery.....then the real battle begins; keeping it off for the long haul. I am confident I will be able to stay the course.....so there it is 140 down without any assistance other than healthy eating....by guys.....

I did it!!!! Lost 100+ pounds on my own!!!

Well I have passed a significant milestone in my weight loss journey, I have passed the Century mark in weight loss and can now add "losing 100lbs by dieting" to my personal life accomplishments. I did it mostly with the help of my wife Amy and by not eating fast food at all. I started at 370 and yesterday I weighed 269.8. I would like to drop another 20-30 lbs before I put the brakes on the weight loss portion of my revamp and start working on muscle gain and toning.....thanks to all the people here at OH for your inspiration and information.......Raul

Im not a WLS candidate, I am not scheduled for any surgery. So why the hell am I even here? What is the reason? The reason is I am here is for my wife. To support her and educate myself to the procedure she is scheduled to receive on Jan 13th 2010. I am not a pre-op person. I am not getting any WLS procedure. I simply like all the info I get from the forums. I am looking to join the "Century Club" soon and lose 100lbs. I am about 12lbs away from that goal. I am doing it w/o surgery and total credit for my success goes to my lovely, talented & beautiful wife, Amy Guerrero. I call her my "mija", which is spanish for daughter. I love her soooooo very much and look forward to a long, healthy and fulfilling life with her. Daddy loves you, mija!

I’ve been dieting since about mid-July. I wouldn’t call it dieting as I eat whatever I want (last night I had some brownies) I just log all my food & calories, which in turn, educates me as to what it is I am actually consuming in terms of fat grams, protien, carbs, sugars, calories, etc,. I have been quite successful since my journey to a skinnier me began. I have dropped over 85lbs & my BMI went from 54 to 36. I can now buy clothing off the rack (I went from a 5-6 X to a 2-3 X in shirt sizes) My initial weight was 370. Yesterday I weighed in at 285.

My wife is my muse, my inspiration. I love her and love doing the whole weight loss thing with her as my partner.....
