"Doctor Kaniewski and all of the people in her office have been fantastic. I was very impressed with her in the beginning, and I've become more impressed as we've moved through this process. I'm a high risk patient because of my size(my BMI is almost 70), and I've got other health issues to boot. The pre op testing and work up have been very intesive, and I feel a lot better about the surgery after having done all of the testing.
I was scheduled for surgery about two weeks ago, but a low blood pressure reading before surgery forced us to reschedule it. They took excellent care of me, and discovered a medication problem my PCP had missed.
The only negatives in the experience have been the time consuming nature of it. I first met with them in May, and I'm scheduled for surgery next week. They are also out of network for many of the insurance companies here in KC, but I know they are working on that. .
They are first rate doctors; they treat their patients well, and they instill a trust that many doctors don't.
I'm scheduled for surgery on 11/08; I'm looking forward to it and to being a shadow of my former self afterward. "
