Hey all, thanks for the well wishes! I am doing ok - very sore, but feeling a little better every day. All went well, but I did have to go back in for a second surgery two days after my first. Dr. Lane wanted to make sure that I didn't have a leak, so he went back in through my drain tube and "looked around". Everything was fine, although my remant stomach was dilated, so he put a vent in that stomach. It's good to be home and with my kids again. They've missed mommy, and it's good medicine just to watch them. I can't wait until I can play with them and really run around with them. I am looking forward to moving on to the full liquid phase, although I still don't feel like eating anything. I'm just tired or popsicles and jello. Looking forward to having some blended bananas, yogurt, pudding, and even Cool Whip Lite! MMmmm.... only 2 more days! Thanks again for all the well wishes and prayers. I really felt them! Beth

Hi Beth! Congrats on having your surgery! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated, swift recovery. You are an official loser!!
