Wow I can't believe it is already six months since my operation. My operation was in February 1 day after my 48th birthday. Today, after loosing 60 lbs, I am enjoying everyday with my family. When I had my blood work done, all my numbers were finally looking like a normal person. My family is so proud of how great I look. I confess, I don't drink as much water as I should but, I keep trying. There are some days when I forget and get too hot and drink too fast. Well, I don't have to tell some of you what happens then. Not a pretty sight that is for sure.
My daughter is not 100% happy since I now weight less than her, but, she is happy that I am pushing her to work out every day and work out with her. It is good to have the buddy system.
I will try to get back sooner than a couple of months. Everyone have a great Tuesday!!

Wow it has been 1 month since i got a new life. I am down to 30.1 BI. I skipped working out for a couple of days but, got back to work yesterday. I am up to 2 miles a day. I am loving this spring day. I go tomorrow to my dietitian tomorrow and 2 weeks later to the Doctor for a follow up. We are going bowling this week then Easter week, I'm going to try zip-line with my daughter.

Well,  today, I  thought about my future.
I had my last Lovenox shot today.
This morning when I didn't want to get out of bed, I hit the shower to get going.
I also did a quick trip to the kitchen to take my meds.
Before lunch, my husband and I took a little walk 1/4 mile. It was nice to have him walk with me.
Before my daughter came home, I walked on the treadmill at 2.3 miles per hour for 15 min. Yesterday, I did 10 min for 2.0 miles per hour.
Before dinner, my daughter and I walked the dog for 1 mile.  It was a perfect ending to a day. Walking I find great to spend time with my family and talk about things that we sometimes don't seeem to have time for.
So, far, I have lost 10 pounds.

Yeah, I finally went to the bathroom. Tomorrow I go back to work. I have stopped taking pain meds. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a great day.

Wow today is Friday 4 days after surgery. I had 5 incisions. Today I started using Gas X to help with some of my stomach ache. Today, I walked 1/4 of  a mile.
I have taken 2 short of the lovenox.
I am drinking 4 ounces in a n hour. Next week I start on baby food.
I also start work next week. Ill let you know how that goes.
I have lost 6 lbs in 3 days.

January 28th What a beautiful day. Spent most of the day cleaning the garage. Finally have the Christmas stuff put away till next year. Started trimming plants to get ready for spring. I want to get everything in place before surgery.
23 days till surgery and counting so much to do so little time.
Trim all the outside plants
Make some meals for Olivia an Dennis at least 1 week of meals.
Put in for vacation for that week.
Make a list of what I can drink during the 2 weeks before.
Make a list of what I can eat/drink 6 weeks after.

Today, I was given my surgery date of 2/20 1 day after my 48th birthday. I can't believe I finally have the date. Next week, I go for my bone scan and then later in the week meet with my doctor. I start on the liquid diet on 2/6. Kind of worried how I'm going to make it through the 2 weeks. Currently, I weight 218. I did real well during the holidays and didn't gain any wait.  I have to check with my doctors to see how to get my prescriptions in liquid form. Does anyone know how long I will have to take the liquids after surgery?

8/29 - filled out all my paperwork and started watching video's on U-tube of what to expect after surgery. I go for my fitness assessment next week 9/7.  This is 2 day's after my daughter's 15th birthday. I can't wait to see pictures next year to compare to this year's party.
