I had thought about weight loss surgery for the past 6 years but after going to a informational night at BMI at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.Il and meeting Dr Lahmann I was more convinced that I was were I needed to be to have it done Finally. It took about a year for me to complete all the testing and waiting for approval I was an the end of my rope and was actaully going to call and tell them to forget when I recieved my call from Cherrish at his office they had a opening within two weeks and jumped at it. I started at 475 pounds and had lost 51 prior to surgery. I never had dieted in my life and was happy with that feat in itself, but still disappointed in ,myself for allowing this to happen to me. Since Surgery 07/28/2009 I have lost another 160 pounds and cannot wait to get under 300, Dr Lahmann advised me during our appoinments that if I got to 300 he would be happy with that result, Heck at 8 months since surgery I am almost there and planning on being at 300 at my next appointnment.
I have never been one to buy new clothes unless needed But I am going to be walking into the July 4th Party at a 40 waist and a tee size of XLT bye bye 5XLT's and 58 inch waist jeans.Bought last jeans first of march waist 46 were tight but now very loose feeling good about that.
Still have a mental problem picturing myself at this size for some reason does not materialize for me even in the mirror, only the clothes show the difference to me.Have to work on that this next year!
