Day 21 of m y liquid diet/8 days post op

Well, it's been a hell of a week. Things could've been worse. I havne't weighed yet so it might be worth it in the end, who knows. I've been having some very bad pain in my chest and some serious tummy problems for 3 days now. I had to get back on my pain meds. We got some Mylanta and in combo with the pain meds worked a little bit. I finally got my doctor's office to call me in a script of Prevacid. Apparently all patients get it but since I went home the same day someone forgot. I guess I'm special....as you can see I'm not in the best mood right now. I've probably had 40-60 trips to the toilet since midnight. UGH

So far so good! Thanks to several people on this board I have found some liquids that I can live with. I've been hungry twice-at night about 10:30pm. But both times I went to bed and I was fine when I woke up.
So, my worst fears have been aleviated! I am not going to starve to death. I will not be in hell. And I will not be weak. I have found so far that setting myself up for success is the way to go. I just need to be prepared and not get caught with my pants down. My dh has been so very very supportive! He eats before he gets home or takes his food to the basement! LOL He has started helping me in the mornings to get my dd ready for school-making lunch or breakfast for her. It is a HUGE help. I don't have a problem preparing food for her but when if comes to preparing REAL food for dh, I think he is going to be on his own for a few weeks.....he should be fine, really. he'll either gain alot of weight from eating fast food or he will lose weight from starving! LOL
So, I've caught dd's cold and am not feeling so well but still am able to clean the house and such. I just feel like doodoo.
I'm keeping up with my protein and broth because I know if I don't the ugly hungry monster will read her head and I don't need that to happen. ;)
I have 11 days left until surgery day.....March 20th! YIPPEE!

Well, I got my surgery date! Finally! I start my pre-op liquid diet tomorrow morning. And my surgery is on March 20th-2 weeks from today. Tonight my husband, daughter and I went out and had a steak. Best steak and probably last steak I'll ever eat. I enjoyed it. ;)
Tomorrow is day 1 and I am nervous that I will be hungry and moody and weak. I'm going to go in with my head high and assume that everything wil be fine. From now on I am eating to live, not living to eat.
