I am so excited, I received the best New Years present ever. My insurance approved the Surgery for Gastric Bypass. My surgery is to be done on January 29, 2008, one month after my approval call.
I met Dr Ganta on October 18, to discuss my desire for surgery I liked him but did not feel that he felt that I was serious. I asked him about the insurance and he said that we would probably go thru my secondary and I wanted to go thru my primary as it would pay all put the co-payment. I worked hard over the next couple of months getting the approval from my insurance. It did happen. I still only met with my surgeon just the one time. I have visited several times with Joy and she is wonderful. I also met with the dietician and felt real good about that appointment.
OK, I am on my way. Next stop my appointment with hospital for the pre-test work-up. Wish me luck.
