"My only problem was with space - when I was finished with surgery, I spent 3 hours in the recovery room because there were no beds available upstairs - I guess there were several people who were supposed to be discharged but then got worse. I ended up going to day surgery, and the nurses there are less familiar with WLS.
The staff were WONDERFUL. In particular, my recovery room nurse was fabulous. She even let my mom come down and sit with me there - they normally don't allow family in the recovery room. Everyone was so kind, and so professional."
