I am currently enrolled Dr. Christopher Still's bariatric program. I have been in it for the past eight months. I am approved for surgery by my insurance co. I have been the overweight one in my family my whole life, therefore having always felt like the fat one. When I look back to my pictures, I really wasn't that fat compared to now. It seems like I gain with every passing year. I am so glad that I am going to have this surgery. I am ready for a new life. Just to be able to cross my knees and put on panty hose will be wonderful. I can't wait to be able to walk without getting out of breath after a few blocks.
I have three wonderful daughters who are very supportive. My husband still thinks I could diet and loose the weight, although he said," if it is what you want." We have been married for almost 38 years ,so he kind of just goes with the flow. I know he will love the new me just as much as the old me.
