Hi, My name is Michelle. I am married to a wonderful man named Shannon, and I have three children two boys, ten and almost eight and a little girl who is two. I had lap band surgery March 29, 2007. I never was able to eat like I should have. I had a lot of problems and most of the time it just came back up. Earlier this year (2011) I started having problems where everything I ate came back up. I also developed the most awful acid reflux. My insurance had changed and the surgeon who had performed my band surgery was no longer in network. After going to my pcp, being sent to a gi doctor, having an endoscopy and an upper gi it was determined that my band had slipped. I finally got approval from my insurance to go see my surgeon. He took my fluid out of the band thinking that the band might just right itself. It didn't! July 20th, 2011 he removed my band. Overall I lost 70lbs with the band. I am scheduled for RNY surgery September 2nd, 2011. I need to lose about 100 more pounds!
