41 weeks/9 months, Long Time No Write :)
Aug 28, 2011
Boy, Time Flies when your having Fun! Summer is always busy but I guess with more energy and more movement I have been extra busy. I am now down 112 lbs! Yea Me! I still have good days and bad but who doesn't right. There are still days I know I don't get enough to eat or should I say the right things to eat but overall I am doing well. The doctor says I am doing well but I need to excercise more, and once again, that excercising more has always been my problem. I have 2 1/2 months until my year anniversary and I really want to be close to my goal, so I guess I will have to try harder and the excercising.

I am now down 98 lbs. and my husband is down 146 lbs. It seems like the weight loss is slowing down a bit, but it’s been so hot here so that makes it miserable to walk outside and we also went on vacation so we ate a lot of different kinds of foods and ate out a lot. We both had our 6 month checks with our surgeon and they say we are ahead of the norm as far as weight loss. I have been feeling tired a lot and my hair is still thinning, so the doctor put me on an extra dose of iron daily. Overall we feel great and have had not serious issues.

First 5K
Jun 12, 2011
I still can’t believe how time is flying by. Things have been going well. We did our first 5K on May 21. If you would have told me a year ago that I was going to do a 5K I would have thought you were crazy but we did it and it was fun. It was a difficult course around our Hospital; even the seasoned runners said it was hard (lots of big hills). It was sponsored by our hospital (Emory Johns Creek); they had a health fair and had a pretty large turnout. We even got our picture taken with our surgeon (he also ran the 5k) and we had a special picture taken with our Bariatric Support Group people that ran. We had a great day.

23 weeks/almost 6 months

Once again time just seems to fly by. The more weight I lose the less time I seem to have. I am down 87 lbs and I can't believe it. Overall it hasn't been bad, I still have good days and bad but that will probably never change. I can eat pretty much everything but no sugar, no soda, and steak is still not comfortable to eat. I still have problems with the motovation to excercise, so I have something to work on. I still have a little ways to go so I will keep plugging along.

4 Months/16 Weeks
Mar 07, 2011
Gosh, I can't believe how fast time flies, I can't believe I haven't written in so long. Things have been going pretty good. It was 16 weeks or 4 months on 3/2/11 and I am down 68 lbs. Corey is down 117 lbs. in 19 weeks, he is 3 weeks ahead of me. We had our checkup with the surgeon and everything looked good except both our blood work showed we needed to improve our vitamin D levels so we are taking an extra supplement everyday. I am walking more often but I still need to do more, hopefully with Spring coming that will make it easier to do more. As far as the food goes, I have good days and then there are the bad days when nothing seems to go down well or taste good. I guess I go through phases.

10 weeks
Jan 22, 2011
Well its been a big week for both myself and my husband. I hit the 50 lbs lost and he hit the 100 lbs lost. and he is only out 13 weeks. Things have been going well overall. Still having trouble finding foods that I like and taste good as well as go down well. Getting all the water in everyday is also still a big challenge and I feel like all I do is drink every minute.

8 weeks out
Jan 06, 2011
My time flies when you are having fun!, Yea, Right! Over all it hasn't been too bad, but it hasn't been easy by any means. I am down 44 lbs. has of today, so that's about 5.5 a week average. I think I am going to have to step up the exercising, I didn't do so well over the holidays, traveling and all. I am still having problems fighting the "Head Hunger", like I think I want a big juicy hamburger right now. I am also having trouble finding foods that taste good and go down well. My husband is down 85 and doesn't seem to be having any problems at all except for throwing up a couple of times (too big a bite or too fast)

Well, I am down 33 lbs, Yea Me! Its coming of slower then I would like but thats ok, its still coming off. Went to group meeting last night and we enjoyed meeting other people that have had the same surgery as us. I just wish it wasn't so far from where we live. I am still having trouble remembering the b12 and the calcium and I still have to work so hard to get all my water in everyday. I am doing well with the protein most days.

3 week stall
Dec 08, 2010
Well I hit the dreaded 3rd week stall, except people say that a true stall is one that lasts 3 weeks. Let me tell you not losing a pound for 9 days was a big stall to me. I got so discouraged and thank god I was able to read on here that other people were going through the same thing or I probably would have drove myself crazy. Well I am back on the losing wagon, and I am down 28 lbs. as of today! Now my problem is I am tired of the boring food already and I am still having a hard time with the denser food but I am working on eating them even if it is a little uncomfortable.

2 Weeks 2 Days
Nov 27, 2010
Well I survived Thanksgiving and the past week~ Incisions are healing nicely and I am down 22 lbs. Had a couple of bouts with doubt this week, not so much that I can't do it, because I know I can. It was more about the missing food choices. I miss certain foods and the ones I am eating aren't impressing me, nothing sounds good and when I eat nothing tastes good. I know a lot of it is mental so I will keep working on it this next week.
