"Dr. Sweet is a wonderful doctor and I was very impressed with him. He has performed over 500 RNY's and has not had a leak yet! His staff is wonderful, they are definitely helpful. If you are considering Dr. Sweet, don't let his rough exterior get to you. I've found that usually the toughest doctors are the BEST and I believe that to be true of Dr. Sweet. He gives you strict guidelines to follow pre-op and will not schedule surgery if you don't follow those guidelines. At first I thought that was ridiculous until I realized that if you can't follow the rules for 3 months pre-op, how in the world will you follow the rules post-op for life. Dr. Sweet firmly believes that Support Group makes a difference in how well patients do. The Reading Hospital hosts monthly support group meetings and you are required to attend at least one before you schedule surgery. I'm glad I went for a few months, just meeting and talking to people who have had the surgery made a difference. To actually see and talk to people who are at goal and look wonderful. If I were asked if I'd recommend Dr. Sweet the answer would be a resounding....YES!!!"
