Hmmm. where to start. Growing up I was always the "skinny little sister" and would make fun of my older sister for being "fat". All that began to change in my late 20's. I can't blame it on the birth of two chldren because after my second one, I was 125 lbs. My husband and I sure liked to eat! As most SMO people, my life became a series of yo yo dieting and frustration. I finally decided that I would not try any more. I like me and decided that if people didn't like the way I look, that was too bad.
Then as age crept up, so did the co-morbidities. I have had both knees replaced, have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and recently diagnosed with diabetes. I have GERD and asthma that landed me in the hospital in Dec. It finally dawned on me that everything that is wrong with me would be improved if I could get the weight off. So, I began my journey to see if this surgery is for me.
