Two months post-op and I'm down 42 pounds.  I think, relatively, I've had a pretty awesome recovery and post-op experience.  I have had one true dumping (and knew exactlyl what I'd done!) and one foaming/puking  incident (and again knew what I'd done!).  I have had some other times when food just didn't agree with me and went right on through but is that considered duming?  It wasn't accompanied by sweats or cramping...it just exited pretty quickly.

The one difficulty I'm having is getting all the water/liquids in.  I've added two glasses of milk to my daily intake and just, generally, paying attention to it more so I don't run into trouble in that area.

Mostly remembering my vitamins/iron/calcium.   Only forgotten on a very few days.

I work at the YMCA so there's ample opportunity to work out and I am taking advantage!  I have access to a 'coach' who's set me up with a upper and lower body workout.  We're slowly working into a core workout.  I say slowly 'cause I think she's paranoid that I've had abdominal surgery even though the dr has cleared me for anything.  Last Sunday, I rode bikes with my children.  It was an incredible, exhilarting experience!  Except that as I was taking my bike out, as I turned something popped in my back!  I was able to ride and felt GREAT but when I went to get off the bike I couldn't lift either of my legs to do it.  I laid the bike down and kinda shuffled off.  In the past when I'd hurt my back I'd use Ibuprofen for pain but that's not an option anymore and Tylenol didn't touch the pain.  I finally caved late on Monday and went to my PCP and got some Flexiril (sp?) and that stuff kicked my butt  I also had some type of reaction to it...like I had this blackish coating on my tongue.  My WLS nurse said it had to be the meds or something I'd eaten/drank with them.  So anyway, I've pretty much just went med free and, after a week, my back's feeling much better.  I will do some kinda workout today!  And I think bicycling might be my THING!  I need to look into some addtional cushioning for my bottom 'cause apparently a lot of the weight loss has occurred THERE.  After about 10 minutes of riding it felt like my @ss was boring into that seat *OUCH*  The seat itself is a 'gel' padded seat but I need MORE!

As pre-op, I still find myself glued to my recliner and watching way too much TV.  I'm thinking of having a TV-free zone for month...maybe I better start with a week  lol  I'll have a family meeting with the 2 little ones (aged 6 and 9) and we'll discuss it.

So you asked for it...hope you got through it!
