Glad to finally be sitting up and feeling better. My surgery went very well per my MD however my neck pain and blood loss thereafter was a beast.  I had to have several blood transfusions and let me tell you liquid potassium isn't  fun. However, my labs have stabilized and I"m on the road to recovery.  I've been very grateful for everyone who has blogged and posted on the OH website and You Tube.  I've found it helpful to be encouraged by those that share a similar story r/t their battle with weight and our hope for a more healthy and happy future.  I've decided not to weigh myself yet. I have to have my jp tube removed tomorrow and I'm sure they will weigh me then.  I have a history of letting the silver scale dictate the way I feel and this is going to stop starting now.  Rome wasn't built in a day and this weight gain didn't happen quickly.  My goal is establish reasonable and attainable outcomes and stay near positive encouraging people.  I thank God for my family, and admittedly some didn't approve of my vsg decision, yet have been more than caring and encouraging during this time.  It's been really difficult to get my protein drinks down and up to 64 ounces of fluid.  Sugar free popsicles and freezing the protein shakes have helped.  One day at a time...
