"I had originally chosen Dr. C. Daniel Smith as my surgeon.
I have had to reluctantly fire Dr. C. Daniel Smith because of his staff's ineptness and incompentnce in my opinion. I should have listened to the other patients who said that Dr. Smith is great but his staff is horrendous. Yes, the are. I was denied and they were like oh, well. They would not help me with my appeal and told me either I could do it or my PCP could that they don't do appeals. This just tops off the whole process of being told different things by every member of his staff I spoke to...what an absolute nightmare.
I am now going with Dr. Christopher Hart out of the North Fulton Hospital location...he also practices in Suwanee.
I can already tell this is going to be an all-together better experience. The staff is not only polite but they know what they are doing and know what to do....what a nice refreshing change....they also will fight for my approval!

"Wow is the word that comes to mind when I think about Dr. SantaVicca. He was more than knowlegeable about WLS he's an expert.
Also he's got great people skills and goes through a presentation with you before you get specific. He's so knowledgeable about all the comorbid conditions and has obviously been doing this for a long time.
He was also extremely easy to talk to...sometimes psychiatrists/psychologists are not very personable but he was a trip!
I really liked him and would highly recommend...also he does take BC/BS HMO insurance!!! That was just a bonus because I was already prepared to have to pay out of pocket when I made the appointment (no one else I called took the insurance so I did not even ask his office - they asked me)."
