My story....would take a long time to type out. So, I will make it as brief as I can. Obeisity runs in my family. Both of my parents are overweight. Both are from the south...so needless to say good soul food is what I was raised on. I went through alot coming up...so many factors played a role into me getting to 422lbs. My God mother who had the RNY through Dr. Fobi is the one who helped lead me right where I'd need to go. After over 6 months of aggrevation with my primary care physician at the time, and the health care group I had. Dr Fobi, Dr. Lee, and his amazing staff took all of that frustration away. I wanted to live....I wanted to save my life...and that's exactly what they helped me do...without any hassels! My OBG-YN, Dr. Emmanuel Mba...played a major role for me as well. I had Endometriosis.....he encoraged me to have the surgery to stabalize my hormone levels again, to rid myself of the Endometriosis. I didn't believe him when he told me that if I lost 100 lbs that the condition would resolve itself. Well, let's just say my cycle returned to normal BEFORE I left the hospital....and it's been normal every since. ( I bled for over a year non-stop prior to my surgery) and let's not talk about the pain and sufferig. I now have a son, who was born May 19,2009. Dr Lee, Dr Fobi, and his staff gave my this chance....to have a child. Something I thought would never happen. So, needless to say I am very grateful. Now my desire is to have my body reshaped...so if anyone can help in that regard it would be greatly appreciated. I did have an abdominal dehisant as a result of delivering my son by c-section....and it does currently bother me alot. Thank you for reading my story :)
