And the before!
First post in the new year.

Well, it's almost February now and I just hit 295, I'm finally under 300 for the first time since before I got married. I'd doing about the same, struggling with carbs but good on water and vitamins. I'm starting to work on qutting smoking. Exercising more but it's still hard and I can't go out for walks because it's so cold and my son is only 1 so he can't go out in it. Eleven more lbs and I'll be at the 100 lbs lost mark and I plan on treating myself to something nice, not sure what yet though, maybe a photo shoot, maybe a new tattoo, maybe a baby sitter so I can have a nice relaxing day all to myself. I'm looking forward to seeing where my life is once the carb, smoking and exercise issues have been resolved.

You're very right, it is time for an update. It's the middle of December so I'm 11 weeks out from surgery. I'm 321 from 384. The weight loss has slowed down some but my surgeon said that was normal. I feel much better and am eating normal foods...well...as normal as it gets after gastric bypass. I'm staying on track with my vitamins and drinking water like there's no tomorrow. I'm having trouble with the whole exercise thing but I'm getting better at it. I'm doing really well with staying away from caffeine and sugar, I'm having some problems with carbs but I'm working on it and doing well so far. I'm doing good and feeling good and hope it continues!
My first time posting.

I'm a little over a month out from surgery and down 40 lbs. Everyone says they can see it, even those who I didn't tell I had the surgery so it's encouraging but I can't seen the results myself yet. I'm sure I will. 40 lbs is alot to lose but when you started at 384 it takes a little time to be really noticeable. I'm working on my food addiction, it's hard because I used to have addictions to caffeine, carbs, sweets, but now I don't have any of those. I drink water all day long and have noticed that I don't even crave soda anymore and that makes me happy. I still have the mindset that I should eat alot, I've messed up a few times and ate more than I knew I should and payed the price for it. I know I'll get the hang of it, Rome wasn't built in a day and there's alot more than just my weight I'm working on in my personal life. Health is important but not being fat isn't going to make me healthy, I still have to work on my physical, emotional and mental health. I'm getting there, slowly but surely. I know I can succeed.
