St Luke West

"If I had to go to a hospital SLW would be it. The staff is sensitive to the physical and support that obese people need when going into a hospital."

Thomas Sonnanstine M.D.

"I had an open RNY done by another doctor and the staple line failed. Dr. Sonnanstine gave me hope for getting a revision done. He is very kind and understanding. I am so fortunate to find him. I have been going through his pre-op program and I have learned a lot of things that were not covered in the previous surgery. He is very thorough in his evaluation about my specific anatomy. With this in mind I feel that he and his staff take the time to inform his patients of every aspect possible of the risks and benefits of the surgery. Both his bedside manner and surgical competence are great."

Good Samaritan

"The nursing staff in the Rehabilitation units were great. They were responsive and very supportive. The physical therapy department was great as well. It was a lot of hard work but it paid off. I am walking, talking, and breathing. I have progressed to the point where I only have to conquer going up stairs like I used to.11/27/05 Now post op for two years I am still not back to normal. I can go up stairs but not easily as I used to. It's been a tough road but I'm getting there slowly. "
