I was not heavy growing up. I was actually very active in sports. I got pregnant at the age of 17 (guess I was active in other curricular activities ;-) and married as well. After I had my first baby I was about 150lbs. Not too shabby, but baby number two came along real fast (my girls are 18mo. a part). I craved a lot of fast food, and was home bound so they weight just piled on. I developed some real bad eating habits and my favorite thing to do was to watch T.V. So 12 years later and I can't blame my weight on the kids anymore, lol.
I am still married although it is not the healthiest of relationships. I wish it were better but it is what it is. I worked with handicap children for seven years and I loved it, but I needed to spend time at home with my kids so I quit my job. I have been a stay at home mom for the last three years. I also volunteer for a German Shepherd Rescue and have been doing it for the last six years. I love it, but it has been the focus of my attentions for too long. But the dogs are very special to me. It is something that I will have to put on the back burner during my journey for awhile. I know it is coming up soon.
I guess that is the short of it.
