what  I eat.

For the first 6 weeks I drank my protien shakes, 4 times a day , giving me a total of just under 75 grams of protien, along with my water sips. for a total of 40 oz.

after 6 weeks I went onto eating puddings fat free, sugar free. and scrambled eggs, apple sauce with yogurt, or cottage cheese, and soups, low sodium, and of course the old stand by  string cheese,  I brought string cheese wherever i went, in case  was on the road during the time I needed to eat.

After 12  weeks , I added  chicken , mashed to pulverize it in a blender or food prossessor,  tuna fish , egg salad ,  all of this had to have a bit of mayonaise to moisten it.

after 20 weeks I ate almost everthing even steak , but in tiny bites less than the size of a dime , chewed 100 times each bite, and  hamburgh I had a hard time with this but  I found if i purchase a better piece of meat and have the butcher double grind, my stomach will process it much better. and I do enjoy a good grilled burger, but only can  take  2  bites.  but savor the moment.

Smoothie

1 scoop of protien powder,  5 to 7 ice cubes,  1/2 cup juice unsweeteded or artificially sweetned, 1/2 of a banana,   and  4 oz yogurt  and a little splenda to taste. check after blending a bit.   and enjoy.

 Peanut Butter   Protien Balls

1 cup peanut butter, I like crunchy,  1 cup of vanilla protien powder, and 1/3 cup of splenda,  1 cup quick oats - uncooked ,  1/4 cup of honey, and 1/2 cup of chocolate syrup the kind you find at WalMart artificially sweetned with Splenda.

in a Glass  bowl place peanut butter in microwave for 40 seconds.  Mix powder, oats  and splenda in a seperate bowl, set aside.   When the peanut butter is warm,  add the chocolate, the honey and  to the peanut butter and mix lightly, then add the dry ingredients,  Mix well by hand if you have to ,  It mixes better that way,  then make walnut size balls,  and roll then in Protien powder  1/2cup to 1/4 of splenda mixture. and place in a airtight container. refridgerate,  I eat 5 to 6 for a meal on the run, or to take with me. when I think I will be missing a meal,  enjoy. When you take a few with you , You do not have to refridgerate then just in a bag a couple hours, they do fine,    enjoy

Perfect Pleasures S/F creamy caramel hard candies with a white chocolate creamy center. serving size 4 pcs, 50 cal., 0 carbs, sweetened with and made by Equal. (found them at Longs Drugs). These are REALLY good!

Sweet N Low S/F coconut & Almond clusters. serving size 3.5 pcs (lol)
140 cal (kinda high) 2 carbs. 2 g protein. These are a little more chewey than I like, I think because the coconut isn't "real", but they are still worth it!

It was thick, almost like Ice cream, if I added more milk it would have been more like a milkshake. Banana nut bread and Cinnamon roll, those are just as good! order You can order the samples from Valleynutrition

Egg Nog (high protein, low-carb) drink

This is not a protein 'shake' but a drink with lots of protein

1 cup Carb Countdown Milk Replacement (you could use milk or soy milk also)
1/2 cup egg beaters
1 or 2 packets of Equal or your favorite sweetener (splenda) (more or less to taste and can be added at the end to get just the right sweetness)
1 tablespoon sugar-free JellO brand instant vanilla pudding mix powder
(if you like it thicker you can add a bit more - or less for thinner consistency)
1/4 to 1/2 tsp vanilla extract - depending on whether you use the real stuff or imitation....less for the REAL stuff
a pinch of nutmeg
OPTIONAL - if you like that alcohol flavor of traditional egg nog you can add 1 tsp of Sugar-free DaVinci Butter Rum flavored syrup (again, more or less, to taste).

Toss everything in a blender and blend until well mixed - about 30 seconds. Chill for at least 2 hours, but overnight is best for great flavor blending. Stir or shake right before serving.

Prepared with carb countdown this has less than 200 calories, 24 grams of protein, 5 carbs and less than 5 grams of fat. Granted it is NOT nearly as high in protein as a traditional protein shake, but it is an alternative and a great drink around the holidays
