Under the weather :(
May 27, 2010
To give you a quick summary of my weight loss journey. I had lost 65 pounds after my lap band surgery, and had gotten pregnant with twins (high risk/bedrest pregnancy). Gained all my weight back plus an additional 20 pounds. I am glad to say that I've lost all that weight except for the 9 pounds I am pushing to lose before my first fill after my pregnancy.
Still on the right road

Back on the journey after two beautiful twin sons!!!!!!!!!!
Apr 29, 2010
I have lost 67 pounds since the delivery of my sons!!!!! I have 19 more pounds to lose to get back to where I was before my pregnancy. I've learned that being healthy is a lifestyle. Since the delivery of my sons, I haven't had a fill, can you believe it???? I will not go back for my initial fill until I lose the additional 19 pounds, that's a personal decision I have made. One thing my band has taught me was discipline, which is an essential part of this weight loss journey.
35 more pounds to go til goal
Jul 15, 2008
It's funny all the attention I've been getting lately. I don't understand because I'm the same person I was 65 pounds ago. It's funny because I went out with my sister last weekend, (I don't usually go out alot) and wore a cute little dress I had bought earlier that week and had gotten approached by no less than 7 men. I'm married, but the ring didn't seem to phase any of them. Amazing how so many men are drawn to a female due to her looks, and his soul mate could be in a woman with a larger frame that is his other half and matches him exactly mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. What I'm trying to say is that the world shouldn't be so vain.
I know this might be random and off the subject, but FYI, ladies, you have to save up some money to invest in good bras.

Not just looking Good!!!!

I brought my BMI down 7.1 points!!!!! Having now lost almost 50 pounds it's so easy to keep our eyes on the prize of meeting weightloss goal. But I have to keep in mind all of the blessings of the present. I no longer have backaches, knee pains, can bend over without almost toppling over. I have so much energy now. It's an amazing journey. I just have to thank God for having allowed me to partake in it.
55 more pounds to go til I'm at goal!!!!

The exercise is a great mechanism for taking off weight, but the tone I've gained in my legs is phenomenal. When I walk they don't shake anymore :) The nurse told me that resistance training is just as important as cardio. So all you banders out there grab some free weights or jump on a machine and start/continue resistance training, because muscle burns fat. You guys can come up with a plan to work various parts of your body. But as for me throughout the week. I'll do cardio for the first 30-45 minutes, then I may work on isolated areas according to this schedule I came up with. (REMEMBER I AM NO PERSONAL TRAINER) Example
Monday - Legs
Tuesday- Arms
Wednesday- Back
Thursday - Chest
Friday - (personal Choice)
An old personal trainer advised me that the abdominal muscles are so resiliant that you can work them each time you have a work-out. Above is just an example of what I do, but you have to come up with something that suits your personal needs.
42 POUNDS GONE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!
May 21, 2008
Today I went for my second fill expecting a 30-35 pound lost, because home scales aren't too reliable. But when I hopped on the scale at Dr. Valin's office I was told that I was down 42 POUNDS!!!
I guess all that working out and healthy food choices paid off. Tomm will be my 3 month band anniversary and I feel so very blessed.
I now have 4.5 ccs in my band. I hope to feel a little more restriction with that much in my band. We'll see. Until next post.....Love you all and take care..
