If you have been keeping up with me, I don't own a scale.  So imagine my surprise when I stepped on the scale at my sister's house on Saturday.  I couldn't believe it so I weighed three times.  As of Saturday, December 29, 2012, I have lost a grand total of 100 pounds.  I started this journey on February 16, the date of the consultation with Dr Antonetti.  I weighed 380 pounds then.  I am proud to say that I now weigh 280 pounds!!!   That's me doing my Happy Dance!  I am becoming a HOTTIE!!  Who am I fooling, I've always been a hottie.  My outside is just catching up to my head!  I am very thankful for the opportunity I've had in having my surgery and the new lease on life that I've been given.  I am so excited about my future and raising my daughter as a healthier Mom.  Speaking of my daughter, I shocked her (and myself too I believe) by chasing her around the house last week!  I mean I actually ran around the house chasing her.  I will remember the smile and the laugh she flashed me as she looked behind and realized I was on her heels.  That may sound like nothing to you, but to finally be able to run after my three old is a major thing to me.  Thank you for your attention and I will talk at you on my next update.  I'm trying to post more often.  We'll see but I can't make many promises, I'm about to start working out with my Shawn T videos!  Oh yes, I am going to get it!!!  Be blessed and don't forget to be a blessing!! As crazy as it may sound lol, I don't have a scale in my house.  While at my sister's house on yesterday, I asked if  I could weight myself.  Of course, she obliged.  Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything in particular.  I had an appointment with the dietician and had blood work on October 25 (my 3 month surgery anniversary) and weighed 302.  Well, I gingerly (seriously) stepped on the scale and low and behold, I yelled 'You are lying!!" (guess I was doing a impersonation of Joe Wilson, the SC representative who yelled 'You lie' to President Obama during the State of the Union speech. lol. I digress.) Anyways, I yelled "You are lying" again! I weighed 297.6 pounds! I weigh under 300 pounds!!! YIPPY SKIPPY!! That was a goal that I got kind of depressed about a couple weeks ago. I can't believe I did it. And better still, I did it without feeling starved or running a marathon. I so feel that I am WINNING!!

I have sadly packed up my 30s, 32s, and 34s and am preparing for a yard sale. I say sadly because I'm just going to say it, I got style!! I might have weight pretty close to 400 pounds but a sister is sharp! I am the cute big girl. I have so many beautiful pantsuits that I seriously hate to get rid of. It would really take too much to alter. So I am parting with them. I hope to do well on the yard sale to purchase some temporary clothing. I say temporary because the 26s and 24s I purchased from Goodwill last month are getting too big. Not to sound puffed up, I wore a size 22 denim pants suit Friday. And your girl was wearing it!! Stepping! Insert Klymaxx "The Men All Paused"! 

Well, I'm writing this post simply because I'm happy to finally be getting my weight under control. I have an awesome support system and receive encouragement from my family, dance ministry (oh yes, I do that too!), church family, friends and Facebook friends. I hope that everyone is as blessed as I am. I am thankful for those who help make my surgery and rebirth happen and continue to help me in my transition. It's amazing what you can do when you finally realize that you are worth the effort!!! Best wishes and I will get at you the next time!
