Where to start...
I have been fat almost my entire life. Sure I dieted and at one point lost 62 lbs. Well, guess where those 62 lbs are now. Yup, and they brought along their friends. Ballooning up to 260, my highest known weight, not happy. I am an RN and have research WLS for about 7 years and finally decided that I could not do it alone anymore. My dear husband is wonderfully supportive as are my parents and my children.
My Lap RNY was 4/30/08. Is that my new birthday, no. But the prep for surgery and the time since has been a life-changing experience for me. I would not trade it for the world! One of the very best decisions I have ever made. Problems I have experienced are not life-threatening. On the other hand, that poor credit card is getting a workout. Shopping is a blast.
My days start in the gym for about 2 - 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. My new addiction. Not a bad habit, actually.
