Amanda_g, I noticed we have the same exact surgery date! I just got mine about a month ago. March 10th 10:30 AM. I am supposed to have the laprascopic RN-Y. I want to encourage you not to worry about whether or not they will be able to lap vs. open. This is also the plan for my surgery....and I was a bit worried at first, too. Have you ever had an open surgery? I have, and also had many laprascopes due to endometriosis and poly cystic ovary disease. So, I know laprascopes are much quicker recovery, but open isn't that horrible. Yes, it hurts and the recovery is a bit longer, but that is about it. Don't worry.
