12:00:01 am, 1/1/2007, was the beginning of my brand new life. My surgery wasn't until the next morning, but I was doing bowel prep on 1/1. It's so cool to have had a new-years rebirth!
Here are some things that I'm looking forward to:
Not having to squeeze into the auditorium seats at the bariatric support group meetings (I sure won't miss the accompanying bruises!)
The tray table lowering fully on airplanes
Wearing normal sized clothing again
Being able to walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath
Sales people at clothing stores not pointing me directly to the plus size section, or sales people giving me the time of day in normal-size stores
Getting flirted with by random strangers
Having a buffet NOT be the best value for me
Riding a horse
Dancing in public
