I can't stand this waiting. Three days ago my insurance company called to tell me they had received everything and had sent it in for review. This, I am told, can take from 2-4 weeks. Now I am on pins and needles. Today I got a copy of my blood works. Yeah! I am healthy as a horse...scary that they may not approve me.

YEAH!!!!! Peggy from Alvarado called me to schedule my date! MY SURGERY DATE IS JUNE 16. I am so relieved. I can't wait to start living again. I came home and scheduled a flight to San Diego and it only cost me $265 to fly first class round trip in the seat I wanted. Everything is falling into place just like it was mean't to be. I am really scared to be doing this journey alone, but I also understand that my husband doesn't want to take off 9 days to sit in a hospital or not be able to have fun and be active. Strangely enough, it bothers other people and him more than it does me. I just wish that I could share the costs with someone as the hotel room is $125 a night. Tonight is also the night our wls support group meets and I am soooooo excited to tell them the news. They have all been so good to answer my stupid questions --even the ones that sound outrageous. Is everyone this naiive going into it? I've been reading everything I can get my hands on, have interviewed people who have had it done, ordered the sample proteins, and chatted on-line consistently for over 3 weeks. I'm heading into a whole new life and I can't wait.

Wow! Look where I am now. Almost 6 months later and down 100 pounds. Best decision of my life "HANDS DOWN". Today I put on a pair of jeans that were soooooo tight. I was disappointed as I read the ticket on them.....13/14.....THEN...I looked inside at the label and they were size 10's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! I buttoned and zipped size 10's...yes they were tight...but wow! Also...I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for over 10 years....now it slides all over my finger. The weight loss has slowed down a lot. I am hovering now at 166-167...a far piece from 265. Tomorrow night I celebrate that 100 pound mark by wearing the most outrageously sexy little black dress to our Christmas party...and YES, I deserve it.
