D. Blaine Nease

"Before I attended the initial seminar I was still largely unsure about surgery, by the end of the seminar I knew that surgery was a necessary step for me, and that Dr.Nease was the surgeon I wanted to see. rnrnMy first impression of Dr.Nease was that his biggest concern was for the patient, he was bluntly honest, a trait I like someone who is going to be cutting into my torso to have, that instantly won my trust and respect. At this point he has my complete faith. rnrnHis staff has been completely amazing from the very beginning of this process, they do absolutely everything they can to inform patients about surgery and post-op care and life changes that come with surgery to the point of giving patients lists of food/drink items that are apropriate through each phase of post-op diets (my phase 2 list is still on my refrigerator for some reason...maybe im just lazy.) Both the dietary and medical classes are incredibly detailed and thurough. If I have any questions about medications or foods, that information is at my disposal here at home. rnrnOn May 19th 2006 I turned 23, had surgery on May 30th, on Sept. 8th I had lost 84lbs, im writing this on Sept. 21st and for the first time since I was 17 I weigh under 350lbs.rnrnI've heard alot of people say that Dr.Nease gave them a 2nd lease on life, but after being plagued by a lifetime of obesity I never had a lease on life to renew, I feel alive for the first time in my existance. Thank you Dr.Nease, Tabitha, Marsha, Kim, and my nurses (whose names I feel horrible for not remembering) for being the people that you are and doing the jobs that you do, the gift you give is life."
