Hi
My name is Amanda...I'm 31 married mom of one. I have struggled with my weight since 1994 after I was involved in a car accident that gave me a T11-12 compound fracture of my spine. I quit participating in sports or anything that would jostle my back. About 4 years ago, I hurt my lower back when doing BodyWork on a client. I went to Chiro multiple times and was still in pain. Finally my husband took me to Urgent Care and turned out that it was more serious then just a "tweek" in my back. From there it started the further downward spiral with weight gain. There was nothing I could do to help myself because I was(am) in constant pain from the time I get up till the time I go to bed. I saw my Endo in 2008 and she suggested Lap Band Surgery and at that point I wasn't keen on doing it, and being dependant on pain killers and muscle relaxers was something I didn't want any part of so I grin and bear it. Now, it's just getting WAAAY out of hand. My best friend told me a few weeks ago about her desire for WLS, and I thought "well, here it comes again full circle time to get off your ass and finally DO something to help yourself"
