"I was in the first batch of gastric patients that Dr. Pizzo had..and I think that he did an excellent job in making me feel like a human being not some cash cow...We had orginally planned on some surgery and then he dicided not to do such a drastic surgery because my body had changed since I saw him last...I visited him for about 1 year until he did any surgery...he was waiting for me and him to be ready..when it came time...I had lost more weight and tightened up in other places..so the surgery changed...He did not press for the radical or more expensive procedure...We did the upper half first and then the lower...WOW do I look Fab...."
"I first met Dr. H. at a support meeting and found him very honest and very helpful in the decision that I made for surgery...I had an Open DuodenalSwitch and I was very hapy with the decision that I made...I had some problems with his office at the beginning but all was resolved very quickly on their end..but they had no feelings for the hell they put me thru...and it was just an oops..It is hard to explain to someone who does not suffer from the aches and pains of being overweight that the mind set is a one way street and once you get the green light to have it change in mid stream is a heart breaker..but I got thru it and everything went smoothly after the mistakes were taken care of...There is not really anything that I don't like about Dr. H. He is not a god just a very good surgeon and a really caring person...He called me several times at home to see how I was doing and even called me on his way out of town to make sure I was aware of him going and to make sure there were on porblems...He is really getting a aftercare program going..right now there is not a structured one...I am only #8 and it is a learning experience and I have seen the new aftercare program and get ready to follow it...Dr. H. is really taking this seriously and has really listened to the 10 people that have had the surgery already...He tells you all the risk of surgery and tells you in ways that you will understand and sorta gets you concerned but it will help you make up your mind one way or the other..Weight the options...I will tell everyone who did my surgery and how happy I am with it...it is a lifestyle change and mental fight to not eat those carbs and sugars..."
