My name is Linda and I was scheduled for rny on Feb. 2nd. I received a call (MUCH to my disappointment) yesterday from the surgeon's office rescheduling my surgery for Feb. 23rd due to the fact the surgeon will not be available on the 2nd. I feel like I am on a roller coaster ride with them changing my date. I feel that way enough with the emotions involved with having this surgery. I just hope it does not get delayed again. I was so disappointed. I have been overweight pretty much my entire adult life other than several times when I would lose, then gain it back plus more. I am 56 years old and I hurt, feel old, have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, depression (under control with meds) and I am tired of all of this. I want to feel good again and get my life back. I have two grown sons, one married and I have a wonderful daughter in law and precious 3 year old grandson who is the apple of my eye. I am married and we love being grandparents.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! LOL
WOW! I am SO behind on posting anything, I am so sorry! I guess it's safe tp say I have gotten on with my life but will never forget all of the help I received from so many people on this website. I am now 3 years out as of a few days ago and doing wonderful. I have gained about 15 lobs. back but that's ok. I felt rather anorexic (or looked it with gravity taking over at my age LOL) so I am more comfortable with my weight now and the doctor is happy with me.
I now have TWO grandsons. When I first posted my story, my first grandson Eric, was 3 and now he is 6 and in kindergarten and he has a 5 month old baby brother, Brandon. We are ecstatic, to say the least I will try to post a pic of them. Hello to all of you out there!!!!
