"My first impression of Dr. Boorse was he is a very knowledgable surgeon. He was very professional and right to the point. He treated me with dignity and respect and did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. He explained the surgery and drew pictures to show me what he was going to do. He also explained how he decides proximal vs distal depending on each individuals needs. I had three pages of questions, most of which he answered before I asked. He was patient and took the time to answer all my questions and did not make me feel rushed. His office staff appears to know what they are doing. The surgical scheduler knows what is expected from the insurance company and so far has been helpful in moving things along in a timely manner. I had a brief unpleasant encounter with one of the nurses but she was much more pleasant and kind during my second visit. I was given a copy of the after care diet. They do not have a specific after care program. Dr. Boorse seems to care about the individual needs of his patients. I have already recommended him to a few friends. (He's also a general surgeon.)"
