UPDATE
Jun 02, 2009
Yesterday June 1st. After beginning this entire journey on February 19th of this year. I found out my surgery date. My entire life will change on July 1st. Its so close i am so excited. I met up with the doc yesterday filled out a novel of paperwork was asked about 6 questions total between the nurse and the doc and then set the date. I was beyond thrilled. So i have 4 wks from tomorrow. I cant wait im so excited. I have one apt left with the psychologist intern this fri, one pre op education class and some labwork and that is it. During the labwork ill meet the anesthiesiologist. That should be kinda neat considering ive never had any type of surgery. Never a broken bone, a stich, or anything. Im not nervous at all. Im just happy and even though sometimes it feels like forever, its really been a quick process.
Talk to ya after surgery.

Pre-Op Blog #3
Apr 29, 2009
Ok so i have all of my clearances. Dr hoens office decided that they were gonna make the cardiology and pulmanary ones mandatory just about a month ago so i went last week and got those and passed with flyin colors. So as of right now the nurses at hoehns office have my chart and are prepping everything to send to insurance. The good thing about that is that insurance has already noted my chart for when the doc office calls. So once they get the approval which should be pretty damn fast since my insurance covers every dime, they will call me and get me set up with my initial consultation with dr hoehn and then at that apt we will set the surgery date. I am so excited. i had my pre op party on the 25th of this month and it was a blast. i made that my last HOORAH and then the very next monday i started training myself to take the vitamins, drink all the water needed, get some samples of the protien that i will need. im just prepping. Am i nervous? no not at all. i kno ill cry right before surgery but only because im gettin a wonderful opportunity to start a brand new life and learn things that were never enforeced before. Hopefully next time i blog on here ill have a date.
Til Next Time

Another Pre-Op Update 04/03/2009
Apr 03, 2009
Ok so on wednesday the 1st (no joke) i got my clearance from both my psychologist Dr. Ravi Sabapathy and from my nutritionist/dietian Teresa. God love em both they are amazing. My performing Doc (Hoehn) is in the process of moving buildings so i will call him monday when he opens back up and confirm that he recieved both clearances. At that point i have 3 neccesary apts set up with sabapathys intern Carrie one pre op education class and the consulation to set the surgery date with hoehn. I serioulsy (and ill say this probably a million times) never felt in better medical hands. Ive always been so nervous even if it was just a check up but not with this. Dr. Stanley Hoehn is wonderful as well as his crew. Sabapathy is so kind and compasionate and patient. They are all very straight forward and more than helpful. They dont act as if its a routine they treat all thier patients with so much care. Ok im babbling i know but i just cant help it. When you meet someone in the medical field that you know right off the bat you can trust and feel safe with,,,,well its a blessing. So all is going well and very VERY fast. Faster than i ever expected but im ok. Im not nervous at all. Overwhelmed with joy though. This is going to be an opportunity of a lifetime. And before ya kno it ill have the photos to prove it.
Until next time.

Mar 31, 2009
Ok i didnt realize that we could blog on here. That or i did and forgot. This is gonna be great. If i occasionally type in all caps its only cuz here at work thats what we have to use in our system. So tomorrow i have my apt with both the psychologist and the dietician. I have already had one with the psychologist and first off let me just say i have never felt such in good hands as far as something medical. Im not nervous. Im excited more than ever and everything with this is falling into place as if it was meant to be. Insurance is going great, appointments a breeze, docs are all good and ready and its almost scary but a blessing none the less. Im starting out at 5'2" 250lbs. I will update again tomorrow after the apts. I cant wait.
