AHH!

Only 2 days left until I get my surgery on Monday.  I must say I am excited about the outcome, but I am very nervous.  This will be the first time I have had any procedure done in a hospital,  I have been lucky and have never needed to be admitted into the hospital.  Everyone tells me everything will be fine and not to worry about anything but that little voice in my head won't shut up.  I'm sure everthing will be great just last minute nerves, which I don't think that I am the only one to expierience that.

This website has been a great help to get prepared for the surgery and also to find out what to expect afterwards.  Several people have wished me luck on my surgery and I just wanted to say thank you so much it really made my night to get the messages from you and will try to reply to you indivdually as soon as I can.  I am still doing last minute preparations to get everything ready for the hospital and also for when I get home.

Again thank you and I wish you the best of luck in your procedures as well.

Talk with you soon.

Upper GI

Jun 07, 2007

I am having a hard time finding a lab that can do my Upper GI.  My primary care doctor put in a order at Valley Radiology next to Good Samaritan.  When I called to make an appointment the person on the phone asked my weight and I told her 465 and she exclaimed excuse me, you're kidding right.  After that very embarising moment she told me that they would not be able to help me because the table has a weight limit.

Since then I have contacted my primary care and the nurse in his office called all over and could not find any place that could take a patient over 300 pounds.  I have now contacted my surgeons office and am waiting for a call back from them.  It has been a nightmare trying to get this test done.  Just thought i would share my frustration.  Thanks for listedning.
