    Hey guys, I feel myself slipping back into the old habits that got me to the point of no return.  I have been drinking sodas again. I can't drink like I used to, but I should be drinking any.  I have noticed just how big of  a role food played in my life. I find when things arent going the way I want, food is the first thing I turn to.  Got to make new friends....   I"ve not been getting my daily recommended dosage of protien in.  It has gotten to a point where the scent of those protien shakes make me sick.  I am having problems keeping most anything down. Some days even water seems to get stuck.  ..   If anyone has any suggestion, words or encouragement, please pass it on. 

That's all for now.  I have some chicken in the oven. I am sure i won't be eating any,but oh well. Kids need to eat...

Well guys, I had surgery 03/16/10..  I ran into a few bumps.  I had an extended 22 day stay at the hospital..  A couple of days after surgery they found fluid around my heart, at first there were thought I had pneumonia.  I had a chest tube inserted, and fluid drained..  However my white cell counts were still high, so there was a scan done of my stomach with showed fluid.. So after the chest tube was removed, I had a drain inserted into my stomach, just under my diaphragm..  There was a lot of puss there.  I am not really sure of what caused this problem, but it is thought that it could have been complication from scar tissue of a previous wls..  I had the VGB in 2001 and i only lost about 40lbs..   I am home now..  I feel so much better.
     Even though it has been several weeks since my surgery, and I can tell I have lost some weight.  I have not weighed since the day of surgery so I had no idea how much weight i have lost...  Keep me in your prayers.  I see my surgeon Monday..
