I started looking into Gastric Bypass surgery last year by attending a seminar, but Aetna would not pay for it. They changed their policy January 2010 so I have started the process. My regular MD is supervising me and I have been going thru the normal process....nutritionist, psych eval., fitness eval. and have had one visit with the surgeon who I hope to have do the surgery. I hope to have all my i's dotted and my t's crossed by the end of March so as to turn my paperwork in and have approval for the surgery in April. We shall see...........................
