I was approved for the surgery through my insurance company when I was 17. The surgery was scheduled for the same week on Thursday. I got a call from the surgeon's office the next day and was told they made a mistake, the Insurance hadn't approved the surgery. At the time I didn't know that you could appeal the decision, so I decided if I couldn't get the surgery I would lose the weight myself. After 2 years of failed dieting I knew I had to figure something else out. No longer on my parents insurance company, and with no insurance at my work, I did some research and decided on self pay DS in Brazil. Currently, I am saving in order to do the self pay with either Dr. Antelmo Sasso Fin or Joao Marchesini.
