Hi everyone, I am officially on the other side!! My surgery was on Thursday the 7th and I am doing fantastic. I feel great and I excited about my future! My hospital stay was pretty uneventful. I didn't have any problems with my surgery, everything went as planned. I came home Saturday and I am already walking..I took 3 walks yesterday! I haven't done that in a very long time. I am drinking a protein shake as I type! lol Well I am worried about blood clots and I don't want to be on the computer for any longer than I have to but I will definately post more later. Congratulations to all the new post-ops! and Good Luck to all of the Pre-ops! All of you that have had your surgery for a while are fabulous! I have received sooo much encouragement on this site. Hi Everyone! I just talked to Jennifer tonight and she sounded great! She is sore though which is to be expected, but she sounded really good. Jennifers surgery was suposed to be at 11:30 yesterday and she didnt have it until about 1:30, but she is doing well and has made it to the other side! Way to go Jennifer! :) Jennifer is hoping to come home tomorrow (Saturday) Laura

I also talked to your husband and he told me the doctor said that everything went slick he said that was the doctors exact words we thought that was funny. Congratulations on making it to the other side. Of all the things that I have been told breathe and cough to help get all that junk out. Get well soon.

Hello I have an update....I called at 4:45pm today and spoke to Jennifers husband Michael, who said that he hasnt been able to see Jennifer yet, but that he talked to the doctor and that everything went great! He also said how much it meant to him that everyone was thinking of Jennifer and praying for her. I let him know that we all are. Jennifer is still in recovery though and hopefuly later tonight she will be moved to her room. This is terrific news! I will keep you updated if I hear more. Thanks, Laura Tanaka
