"8/12/01 My first impression of Dr. Peters was that he is a man of compassion and knowledge. I had been to another surgeon and had had my surgery cancelled one week before I was due to have it and in desperation searched for another surgeon. Thank God for Dr. Peters and Robbie, his office manager. I was so upset and stressed when I called his office and Robbie got me in that very same day. Dr. Peters went thoroughly over all the aspects of the surgery and the post-op period and was so gracious about fitting me in. He really treated me like a human being and with such dignity. He took into account the things going on in my personal life and made sure that I was worked into his surgery schedule quickly. Robbie truly is a miracle worker - before I left the office that day I had new insurance approval and pre-certification and a new surgery date for only 2 weeks later than my first. But that wasn't good enough for her - she spent loads of time trying to find a sooner date and called me later that afternoon and offered me the following Monday!!! I was stunned!! My husband and I both started to cry. She was just as excited as we were I think. Another thing that really impressed me was Dr. Peters had me take a test to be sure I understood everything about the risks and post-op. I also liked the fact that he was open and honest and didn't act like he was offering a magic pill but stressed that I would have to work to make this work. Overall - I'm delighted with the fact that my first surgery was cancelled and I was able to place myself in Dr. Peters care. "
