Rita - I’m so happy to learn that things went well for you and that you are recovering from your surgery. I hope that the drive home wasn't too terrible and I pray that you will have a minimum of pain and be free of complications in the weeks and months that lie ahead. Can’t wait to see the glowing updates you will provide us with!

Rita is going home today! She was just discharged from the hospital and she's on her way home. She has a 100-mile ride ahead of her, so please pray that she'll make a safe and pain-free trip home. She is truly an amazing person and has such a great attitude, despite everything she's been through. Please keep her in your prayers and she continues her journey toward a new, healthier and thinner life.

Rita, I'm so thrilled to hear that you were FINALLY able to have surgery. It's been so long since we've "talked" that I hadn't kept up with what was going on with you. I'm sorry to hear about the problems that you're having, but they are probably par for the course with your lupus. I so glad to hear that you are improving and may get to come home soon! Welcome to the "losing" side!

I am so overjoyed to report Rita moved to a regular room last night and this morning is doing so much better. She's still having difficulty breathing, but that is improving, too. She is an amazing woman! Her mom just spoke to the doctors and they said if Rita continues to improve, she might even get to go home this weekend. I hope so. She's been through so much. Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to keep Rita and her family in your prayers. I know they all appreciate your support.
