Hi all, just an update on what's going on with me, I'm almost 8 months post-op and seem to be doing well. I think I weigh about 150-155 I haven't weighed myself in a month or so. I wear size M-L in tops and 12-14 in pants and shorts. I am eating whatever I want within reason. I still cant eat breads, and hamburgers but other than that I eat small portions of whatever I want. Even though I don't count carbs, fats, etc. I am very happy with my loss so far. I know some people seem to be on a diet even after wls, but my Doc wants me to eat normal, just smaller portions so I must be doing something right. I eat alot of fruits, and veggies, fish, meats, and if I want chocolate I eat a bite and I'm done, and when I eat my meals, they are the portion of a 3 year old. And for the first time in over 12 years, I'm happy with my body. If I don't loose another pound, I'm happy.

Hey Cindy! Thanks for your comments on the board in answer to my pity party about the "clique-ish" atmosphere on the board. I do appreciate that I am being heard. So..I guess maybe we can continue to "lurk" together.?. Hehehe. Take care...and congrats on your success so far!

Just got a call from Cindy's DH John - she is doing well this morning. Off the demerol pump and on liquid pain meds. Note her room number is 2010 not 210 as in previous post. Demerol made her a little nauseous but she is doing well on the liquid meds. Another day or two and she will be on her way home. Congrats are in order for Cindy she's on her way! Thanks John for giving me an update for all Cindy's friends here at the AMOS site! Folding my wings for now -

Just got off the phone with Sycamore Hospital and they told me what Cindy's sister already posted - she made it thru to the losing side just fine. She is resting in her room #210 Bed 1. Didn't get to speak with her, but know that all the prayers and wishes will see her through to a speedy recovery! Great job Cindy!!!! Hugs and prayers - Cheryl Rymer/Long Distance Angel/Ohio
