Hello all...well this is my first post that I have made since the day before surgery. I must say that this is the best decision that I could have made for myself. By the time I left the hospital, I was already down 7 lbs. Besides the pain when I cough, there is hardly any. I would just like to say thank you to debbie for being the best angel that I could have. Thanks also, to all those that did call me while I was in the hospital. Your concerns and thoughts were greatly appreciated. I will post more when I ahve more information. I just spoke with the staff at St. Lukes and Shrita has been moved from the recovery room to her room on the 6th floor. The nurse said Shrita is doing fine, just wanting her ice chips. Please post a messge to her and let her know our thoughts and prayers are with her during this recovery time.

Shrita, I wish you the BEST for your upcoming surgery! Congratulations on joining us on the "other side". I had my surgery 11/1/01 and have lost almost 50 lbs. It's not always easy, but most of the time, I am amazed at how wonderful this surgery has been for me. Don't get too nervous, just have faith in God and your surgeon and good luck!!!

Shrita....We met the other day in the chat room...Lonna Grell from Bend Oregon...97lbs down 7 months out RNY-Lap..no complications... God's speed to you my "new friend" and will keep you in my prayers and thoughts this week...will check in on you at the Hospital if they will put me through to your room? How many days do they expect you to be there?
