Okay, so I've been bad about posting. I'm almost 3 months out and I've lost about 45 pounds. I feel pretty good, except when I eat fats or something fried (in larger than one oz. amounts). I'm in size 20 jeans from size 24 or 26, depending on the maker. I can wear medium shirts sometimes and in general am very happy because I'm actually losing weight and not staying or gaining.

She is a wonderful person, as is her husband Joe. So, if you all would go congratulate her on her fantastic weight loss, I know she would appreciate it...Tina, again, I am sorry I have not done a better job...I will try to do better...Carol

hello all..ANGEL DUTY CALLS.....I hope everyone is doing well today...I got a call from Tina today, she had her open RNY on 08-14-02, she went to doctor yesterday and called to tell me that to date she has lost....22 POUNDS (yes, twenty-two pounds gone forever!) I am so proud for her...That is wonderful. Her dr. (dr. alanis) told her that her incision is healing well except for two spots, which are minor...she was given the go ahead to join water aerobics..anyway, if you all would stop by her surgery page and congratulate her, i am sure she would appreciate it much..wish her luck in her job search as well...she is in the job market....Hugs to everyone...Carol Tyler

Tina-Welcome home. Glad you are doing as well as can be expected at this time. Trust me, I know exactly how you feel. One of my best friends was shocked over my attitude after surgery because she had put me in touch with another lady she knew that had it that never had a negative thing to say about the surgery. I was totally unprepared for feeling as lousy as I did. It took me six-seven weeks before I would say I would do this surgery again, but I did eventually feel that way. I think we all react differently. Hang in there and if you need someone to relate to, call on me.

Okay, as Carol, My Angel, posted yesterday, I made it home 2 days post-op. I am in pain and I'm not feeling very much like I would do this again. I'm not much for pain, but if I can be home w/i 2 days, I must be doing pretty good. I tried sleeping in bed last night, and I did pretty good for about four hours. I slept on my side w/ a pillow under my stomach for support. The nurse at the hospital told me I could sleep on my side, I just had to notify them so they could help me, I just couldn't sleep on my stomach. About 2:00a, I got up and sat in the reclinder to sleep for the rest of the night, as all I could picture was something being pulled out of where it was placed because I was stressing it wrong. I don't think it happened, it's just something else I don't want to have to worry about.

Well, everyone, Tina is home...she got home about one o'clock or so this afternoon. She said she even went to Walgreens without too much trouble. I think that is great..I am so sorry I am just now posting, have been so busy today, that I am just now gettig to puter for any length of time...Anyway, she still says the pain was unbearable and that she would not do it again, but I think that in about 3 weeks when she goes to dr, and the scales are just a bit nicer to her than they have been, then she will slowly change her mind...Anyway, best of wishes to all...Carol
